To join The Next Aion, there is a list of things you need to do:
-Get NCSoft Launcher here.
-Go to File, Settings, and go to the Auto Update tab.
-Click on Turn off automatic game updates.
-Download AION. This might take a while, so I suggest you do it overnight or something.
*Before going on to the next step, remember to read the instructions at the bottom of this page. Also, open the game through NCSoft Launcher as if you had the real thing. When you get to the login screen, you can exit. This is to know if your computer can handle the game.
-Download and extract bin32*(version 2.1.0.3) here and the Launcher.bat from here into your Aion folder.
-Download extract L10N from here into your Aion folder as well. This is a big file, around 1000 MB, but it saves you from having to learn Korean to play the game.
-There's a file in your Aion folder called cc.ini. Erase everything in it. Change it to:
cc = "1"
Make sure there are no unnecessary spaces, except the spaces next to the = sign.
-In version.ini(in your Aion folder), also erase everything in it. Change it to
[Settings]
Version=2.1.0.3
Make sure there aren't any unecessary spaces or spaces.
-Lastly, open Launcher.bat** and enjoy the game.
---Important-------------------------------------------
*Usually, you'll get version 2.1.0.6 of the game; however, our server currently only supports 2.1.0.3, which is why you should make a copy of bin32 and keep it somewhere else that's safe before going on to the next step. This should specifically done if you're going to play not just in this server but in others, too.
**Editing Launcher.bat isn't recommended, and could make it not work. If you choose to do this, it's your own risk.
